Stephen Murray is one of CCMP’s founders, and he served the company as its Chief Executive Officer. Before his demise, which occurred on 12th March 2015, Murray was an expert in the private equity investment sector. During the prime years of his career, Stephen Murray was an employee of the Manufacturer Hanover Corporation from 1984 and at the firm he was part of its credit forecast training project. He later got another job at the MH Equity Corporation after his former employer incorporated its controlled finance section with the MH Equity.
The Chemical Bank purchased the Manufacturers Hanover in 1991 and the MH Equity fused with the Chemical Venture Partners.
The JP Morgan offered Stephen Murray CCMP Capital a new administration position where he served as the controller of buyout enterprises as from 2005. He was a significant participant in the transformation of the business into a well-developed private equity.
The CCMP Capital began its operations in August 2006, and it was then a JP Morgan Chase’s spinoff. Stephen Murray was given a position at the firm as its CEO as from 2007 and at that period the company was made up of an advancement and takeover team, which was under his leadership. The company grew from an initial startup capital to 12 billion dollars.
The company currently specializes in private equity investment and has majored in leveraged takeovers and capital development dealing. CCMP has employed more than fifty private equity specialists who are based in Hong Kong, Tokyo, London and New York.
