During the Swiss venture Day of 2015, Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier , the Managing Director of CTI Invest made some important announcements. Among them was that his top financing platform for start-ups that are innovative in nature would start collaborating with the Swiss Startup Factory. This will mean that these two organizations will be co-organizing events, offer trainings to startups and have already launched a site that has videos and podcasts of Swiss start-ups.
The collaboration was to start in January this year and the close cooperation is meant to develop Ecosystem of the Swiss Startup further. Mike Baur, the founding partner at Swiss Startup Factory will be appointed to the post of the Deputy Managing Director at CTI Invest. Baur is foreseen as the successor to Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier, CTI Invest’s current Managing Director. In order to strengthen this relationship further, Jean-Pierre will joing the Swiss Startup Factory Core Team and will be appointed as the Managing Partner at the Factory which will take effect as of 1.1.2016. the two organizations will be cooperating in various fields and they have already launched a public site with Swiss Startups videos and Podcasts.
The Swiss Startup Factory will help CTI Invest in co-organizing events like the Swiss Startup Day and the Startups training under the brand of Swiss Startup training. The training programme is expected to kick start in the spring of 2016. CTI Invest will offer support to the pre-section, coaching and also the Demo Day with the investors of the accelerator programme of Swiss Startup Factory. Both parties are “Playing Lean” certified facilitators and hence the Lean Concept will form an essential part of this offering.

Mike Baur comes from Fribourg, Switzerland and is the current Co-Founder and Partner at the Swiss Startup Factory. His passion from a tender age was banking and Finance and he was able to turn this passion into his current profession. He was involved in the Swiss Private banking for 20 years and made his way up from an apprentice to a Board member of a huge Swiss Private Bank.
In 2014, when Baur was 39 years old he made up his mind to begin his entrepreneurial journey and this saw him and two other partners form the Swiss Startup Factory. It is the top privately independent and financed ICT Startup Accelerator that is found in Switzerland. Baur usually takes his time to better the Swiss youth entrepreneurship and supports the Swiss Startup Factory financially and as a mentor. He has an MBA from University of Rochester and also an Executive MBA from Bern University.
